Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about SCOAR.

What is SCOAR?

SCOAR is an AI-powered companion designed to provide clarity, support, and actionable guidance whenever you need it — rooted in the wisdom of Scripture and built for the challenges of real life.

Who is SCOAR designed for?

SCOAR is built for young Christians — and anyone seeking faith-based clarity — who want practical, biblically-grounded answers to everyday decisions, relationships, and life challenges.

How do I get started?

Download the SCOAR app, create an account, and start sharing what's on your mind. You'll receive immediate scriptural guidance within seconds.

Which Bible translations does SCOAR use?

SCOAR currently supports several trusted public-domain translations including the King James Version (KJV) and World English Bible (WEB), with additional translations planned for future updates.

Is my data secure?

Yes — your privacy is our top priority. All conversations are encrypted and securely stored using industry-leading protection standards.

Can I use SCOAR offline?

SCOAR requires an internet connection to deliver AI-powered guidance. However, you can review your previous sessions and saved verses offline.

How much does SCOAR cost?

SCOAR is a free app. We will make every effort to keep it free as users request the addition of premium features for future releases. If we must charge a fee later on, it will be a gradual transition to a paid model that will also include the original features for free.

Is SCOAR a replacement for a pastor or counselor?

No. SCOAR is a spiritual companion and a starting point for reflection — not a substitute for pastoral care, professional counseling, or community support. We always encourage connection with a local church and trusted mentors.

Do I need to create an account to use SCOAR?

No. SCOAR is fully available to everyone without an account. You can search for biblical guidance, view results, and use all core features as a guest. An account is only needed if you want to save favorite verses and access your personal query history through My SCOAR.

Where is my account information stored?

Your account — including your username, password, saved verses, and query history — is stored entirely on your device. Nothing is sent to or saved on any external server. SCOAR has no database of user accounts.

Can I access my account from another device or browser?

No. Because your account exists only on your device, it cannot be accessed from another phone, tablet, or browser. If you want to use SCOAR on multiple devices, you would need to create a separate account on each one.

What happens if I forget my password?

Since your account is stored only on your device and not connected to any server, there is no password reset option. We strongly recommend choosing a password you will remember. If you forget it, you can create a new account, though your previously saved verses and history will not carry over.

What happens to my data if I clear my browser, uninstall the app, or get a new phone?

Your saved verses, history, and account will be permanently deleted along with the app data. This is the trade-off of a fully private, server-free design — your data belongs entirely to you and cannot be recovered remotely.

Why does SCOAR offer login if everything is already private?

Great question. Even without an account, your searches are private to your device. The login feature adds a second layer of protection — useful if you share a device with family members and want your saved verses and personal queries to be password-protected. Future versions of SCOAR will also offer additional personalization features exclusively for registered users.

How do I contact the SCOAR team?
